IUF Condemns Murder of Trade Unionist at Nestl� Colombia

The IUF has condemned the August 21 assassination of Gustavo Gomez, a worker at the Nestl� factory in Dosquebradas, Colombia and member of SINALTRAINAL, and has called on the Colombian authorities to swiftly launch a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice. Gomez was shot ten times at point blank range when he opened the door to strangers calling at his home.
Gomez was the second worker at Nestl� Dosquebradas to be murdered in the last two years, bringing to twelve the toll of murdered trade union leaders and members at Nestl� Colombia.
