Unions at the Australian brewer Foster's have continued their fight for a union collective agreement at the company's Yatala plant, south of Brisbane, Queensland, with another round of rolling 4-hour work stoppages held 4 times last week.

The Yatala plant management continues to seek to impose a non-union agreement, most recently resorting to sign-on bonuses and hiring new employees to dilute the pro-union vote. These tactics have failed to weaken the workers' resolve, and unions have announced that the industrial action will continue. Yatala workers started actions with a first walkout on October 5.
